Rationale

My rationale for music education aligns with the NSW Music syllabus (2024) by fostering musical understanding, critical listening, performance skills and self-reflection through authentic and engaging rehearsal experiences.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy centres on inclusive, collaborative and practical music education that enables all learners to participate meaningfully. Explicit instruction, structured rehearsal processes, formative assessment and reflective practice support both musical and personal growth. Through differentiated teaching strategies, ICT integration, and culturally responsive practices, students develop confidence, creativity, understanding of the elements of music and ensemble skills within a safe and supportive learning environment.
